GIMA

Gurushethra institute of martial arts(gima) was established in 1991 with an aim of creating awareness of martial arts and spread the importance and divinity of martial arts all over the world. Gima not only gives training in martial arts but also in physical fitness, mental stress relief, self defence and self confidence throught following elements.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • More than 1500 students trained and qualified
  • Karate student "jayasree"won pure gold medal in tournament held in Kodaikanal.
  • 1999-our institute Students won 8 gold medal in Trichy tournament
  • 2000-five first prizes in various categories in international SHOTOKAN KARATE FEDERATION
  • 2000-participated in all styles of martial arts all India open championship tournament (organised by boo karate club)5th Vimal memorial 2000
  • 2001- participated in 2nd state level all martial arts tournament
  • 2003-one of our student "selvaraj" attempted for a Limca record and ended up with driving 10 maruthi cars on this stomach in Chrompet,Chennai
  • 2007-TN STATE III ALL STYLES MARTIAL ARTS OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
  • 2011-Our students won 9 gold medal ,10 silver and 15 bronze in world championship tournament held in Penang,MALAYSIA.
  • 2012 ,2013,,2016 we participated in international tournament and won many medals
  • 2018- NATIONAL  TOURNMENT 2018 CONDUCTED BY AIKKPF, WKC INDIA OUR STUDENTS PARTICIPATED AND GOT ,5 GOLD,7 SILVER,14 BRONZE IN BOTH KATA AND KUMITE
  • 2021-STUDENTS WON 8 gold 3 silver 2 bronze MEDAL IN UDUMALAIPETTAI NATIONAL TOURNMENT
